Release Date Rewind : Super Mario Bros. (30th anniversary)

SHOW NOTES

Trust the fungus! David Gonzalez from the podcasts Reel Chronicles and Chop Talk and the movie news and review site TheCinematicReel.com returns to the show to be the Luigi to Mark's Mario. They enter the dino dimension and discuss Super Mario Bros. for its 30th anniversary this month! The first movie to be adapted from a video game was released in the US on May 28, 1993, and Mark has wanted a meteorite necklace ever since. The guys share what they love about this guilty pleasure sci-fi adventure (like a mattress ride through a tunnel!) and everything that makes them scratch their heads (too much to list here). Plus, they discuss all the actors who were apparently in consideration for the roles and the names will confuse you even more.

Release Date Rewind
Movie nerd, filmmaker, and anniversary celebrator Mark J. Parker brings a friend on each episode to discuss movies (and sometimes TV shows and music) that are hitting milestone anniversaries of release that month. Think 20th anniversary, 25th, 30th, 40th, 50th, 60th, 70th, 75th, you get it! They'll dive in together, discussing fun facts, memorable moments, and what makes these movies worth a rewind all these years later. Let's get nostalgic! The podcast logo is created by Greg Clements. The theme song is the instrumental version of "Dance This Out" by singer/songwriter Kyle Motsinger and producer Smoke and Mirrors.
