About this episode

We are surrounded by fad diets, apps that promise to put us in tip- top shape and "clean eating" - whatever that means? This is diet culture. It has us feeling shame when we eat certain foods and ultimately can lead us to a negative relationship with food. This relationship with food and body image affects our families and how kids think about what they eat and how they view their bodies.  What messages are they receiving when they hear "no dessert before dinner" or "no  junk food."?
In this episode, Family Coach Oona Hanson breaks down the effect that diet culture has on kids and how a parent's relationship with food influences the next generation.
